Baritone Saxophone

Lenny has a love of music that has kept him playing for over 5 decades. Growing up in Newport, RI when it was a sailor town, Lenny learned how to play the clarinet from Navy musicians who lived above the family grocery store. At 13 he got his first saxophone, joined a rock and roll band and never looked back! In college he played contrabass clarinet in the symphonic wind ensemble and clarinet in the marching band. He has performed in orchestras, Dixieland, rock, rhythm and blues, community, and dance bands. Currently Lenny plays in the Full Bar Saxophone Quartet, the San Diego Music Makers, the San Diego Legacy Band, and is honored to be playing with the outstanding musicians in the Marty Conley BBX.
