Born and raised in Indiana, Jerry studied piano, saxophone and voice in secondary school, and went on to complete a BA and MA in Music Education. During his career of 35 years, he taught music in Wisconsin at all levels from kindergarten through university. He was also very involved in church music, directing music programs and leading worship from the piano. He has played in many small groups and had his own quartet for several years in Wisconsin. Jerry and his wife, Linda, have been retired in San Diego since 1996. They have two children and five grandchildren living in Wisconsin and Indiana. Jerry has been with the band since 1997during which time we have found very few tunes he does not know.
